Friday, July 18, 2008: 7:00 pm (Engressia): The human brain is an incredibly complex and advanced central processing system. Interestingly enough, in spite of its uniqueness in several respects, it has many qualities in common with modern computer systems. Like modern computer systems, the brain and ultimately the mind can be predictably influenced and even exploited. This talk will cover the basic nature of the brain in relation to computer systems and will discuss the relevance, the advantages, and the dangerous implications of this topic.
