The Hacker Calendar

The Hacker Calendar front cover

The long-awaited Hacker Calendar is now out! We're all really proud of it and think it's a unique and comprehensive look at the hacker world and its significance in history.

You'll find that most dates of the year have had at least one item of historical significance in the hacker world. Many have multiple items. It's a great way to become familiar with just what makes hackers tick and to learn a good bit about the development (and growing pains) of technology.

This full size wall calendar features 14 really cool pictures from 2600 Magazine staff photographers Dave Buchwald and Kyle Drosdick (one for each month of 2012, one for the last months of 2011, and the cover). These images, culled from a collection of many thousands, focus on the science of telephony, the theme of this year's calendar.

We find that people love to see what got hacked on their birthday or if they can find the names of their favorite hackers in these pages. We can think of no better gift for someone who doesn't know much about the hacker world, but is somewhat curious or open to learning something new. It will be hard not to get informed with a colorful calendar like this staring you in the face, providing new hacker info for nearly every day of the year.

This is also the only calendar we know of that clearly marks when the end of the world is supposed to take place in 2012. We figured that might also be of interest.
